PALM DESERT: Covid-19 Regulations
I hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy and in perfect peace. It’s the Middle of Summer and so hot - and honey we landed in beautiful palm desert! 🔥🌵📍 We decided to take a quick trip to palm because it’s Jordan and I 4th anniversary- with the kids (no silence for us). 😂.
Welcome to The Westin Desert willow Villas. I’ll be honest - I have wanted to stay here for a long time and have heard amazing things about this resort. We actually got it so cheap, as in $68 a night (compared to $350.00 a night)! I used some of my Expedia points along with the low discounted rates because of Covid -19.
The resort was great. It was only a few people and everyone spread out Nicely. It wasn’t my favorite resort I have been to in palm desert, but you couldn’t beat the excellent customer service, huge pools+, water park slide, and the new Covid -19 safety regulations put in place which I honestly appreciated. You were required to wear a mask by the pool, unless you were in the water. To be honest, no one wore there mask by the pool only if you were walking around. But they did try to enforce it kindly with all guests. The food resort restaurant was closed which was a bummer, but the bar was open. Also it was 116 degrees outside (which Is in saintly hot 🥵 end of July) but in the pool it felt like 85 degrees pretty comfortable. Brooklyn my baby girl handled the heat just fine, I just tried to keep her out of the direct sun and in the pool as much as possible. Naveah had a blast on the water slide. She must have gone down that thing 20+ or more times. Jordan my husband hubby, is obsessed with golf and he said the golf course next to the Westin was absolutely amazing (and he is a hard critic ). We ordered take out every night and the food in the surrounding area was good also.
Ultimately, it was A great little safe getaway! Palm springs or palm desert is a great choice if you want to be low-key and relax with out feeling stressed about Covid -19. Remember traveling is always a risk during this time unfortunately, but i felt it was a much lower risk then traveling to a more populated cooler area. I will miss that hot sweet desert sunrises. Until next time!
